I am set to release my debut EP named 'Time'. This is made into a conceptual storyline that consists of my own memories and experiences.
English as well as te reo will be fused into the ep. These features are to express and embrace my māori culture, along with exploring my R&B sound.
I made a set of goals that would focus on the 'why' of my EP, but also on certain fields that I wanted to improve in.
Songwriting and production was the main focal point in this project that I wanted to achieve before the release. Finding my own musical identity and growing confidence was then found along the way.
I am hoping to encourage young indigenous artists to promote themselves in the New Zealand industry, and to embrace who they are.
Being your most authentic self is a key value that I will carry throughout my music journey.
