Due to the uncertaincies that surrounded the year 2020, I was able to experience putting on a livestream event. This livestream was still treated as an ordinary performance with a top tier brief and a formed band. This brief gained the name, 'No Future' which manifests a place for humanity among countless possible futures.
My band, Cindy had decided to push our desires into a dystopian concept that will eventually see the light once again. Given a brief that could be interpreted in any way, it gave me the ability to nurture my creative imagination into something very unique and original.
Gathering inspiration from mother earth Papatūānuku, we express how society continues to exploit and damage her, but soon enough we will heal her again. The livestream gave me the opportunity to perform for different mediums. This gave me an insight on ways that I could expand my music to a wider audience and to gain more exposure.
